A brief history

Indian Cultural Organization (ICO) was incorporated in 1983 by Caleen Sisk and Maude Rogers Nightingale to support Winnemem Wintu cultural resilience and ecological restoration. ICO operates as an independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit under the traditional authority of Chief Caleen Sisk, the hereditary spiritual leader of the Winnemem Wintu Tribe. ICO supports cultural and ecological restoration and community programs at her direction. ICO does not speak for or represent the Winnemem Wintu Tribe as a governing body. Donations to ICO, a 501(c)(3) corporation, are tax deductible.
